Outage season is one of my favorite times of the year. For those not familiar, “outage season” is a scheduled time in the spring and fall when power generation facilities schedule outages for routine maintenance, upgrades and improvements.

It’s the time of the year when our customers are ramping up to do large scale projects in a tight window, with a million moving parts and pieces. Crews are often running from job to job, across state lines, and are in a different hotel room every night. All of this hustling to fit as many projects into the outage as possible so their customers are ready to kick back into production. 

Navigating the Chaos of Outage Season

For the folks out in the field doing the real work, outage season is chaotic and stressful. And crewOS plays a part in helping to remove the chaos and make everyone’s life a little easier and more productive.
