At crewOS, we believe the best way to build better technology is to spend time with the people who use it every day. That’s why our team recently visited ProcessBarron, a long-time customer and one of the most respected names in material, air, and ash handling systems.
Located in Pelham, Alabama, ProcessBarron designs and manufactures complete solutions that keep industrial plants running – from conveying materials to managing airflow and handling ash removal. They’re one of the few companies that does it all, and seeing their operations up close gave us an even deeper appreciation for the expertise and precision behind their work.
Why These Visits Matter
Customer partnerships are at the heart of what we do. Spending time onsite allows us to see how crewOS supports real-world operations, to listen to our customers’ challenges, and to uncover new ways we can help them achieve more.
We don’t just deliver software; we build tools that power industries. Visiting customers like ProcessBarron reinforces our mission to create technology that brings the field and office together, eliminating the friction that slows work down. These conversations guide how we evolve crewOS, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the people who rely on it every day.
A Look Inside ProcessBarron
During our visit, we met with Jennifer D. Little, Director of Commercial Operations; John Fisher, Director of Field Service Operations; and Ashley Doyal, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Each plays a key role in keeping their teams and systems running smoothly, and they offered invaluable insights into how crewOS fits into their workflow.
John, who oversees field service operations, shared how the platform has transformed their efficiency and visibility:
“It’s really revolutionized how we monitor our jobs.”
According to John, before adopting crewOS, supervisors relied on file boxes in their passenger seat filled with timesheets, inspections, and change orders that might not reach the office for weeks. Today, all of that happens in real time. Drawings, JSAs, inspection data, and job reports are uploaded directly from the field, keeping both crews and office teams connected.
John also noted that their change-order capture rates have increased dramatically, giving them better profitability tracking and faster billing cycles.
“crewOS has helped us be more efficient on both the front and the back,” he said while describing how much smoother their workflow has become from the shop floor to the customer report.
On the Ground: Where Innovation Meets Industry
We toured ProcessBarron’s main office and two of their manufacturing shops, one focused on air handling equipment, the other on material handling systems.
The scale of what they build is incredible: industrial fans, expansion joints, dampers, mechanical dust collectors, fan housings, screw conveyors, heavy-duty chains, and more, all designed and built in-house. Every component reflects the precision and expertise of a team that understands what reliability means in industrial operations.
We even spotted equipment from another crewOS customer, DESHAZO, being used in their shop. It’s always rewarding to see how interconnected our customers are within the industries we serve.
The Takeaway
For us, the visit was more than just a check-in. It was a reminder of why we do what we do. ProcessBarron’s ability to manage complex, large-scale operations depends on seamless coordination across people, equipment, and data. crewOS helps make that possible by giving their teams real-time visibility, connected workflows, and confidence in every job.
When companies like ProcessBarron trust crewOS to power their operations, it’s a win not just for supervisors and office staff, it’s a win for the people on the ground who make industrial progress possible.
Our Commitment
We’re proud to partner with ProcessBarron and other industry leaders who are setting the standard for efficiency and innovation in field service. Every visit, every conversation, and every workflow we see in action helps us build smarter tools that make a difference where it matters most. In the field.
John summed it up perfectly:
“crewOS has changed the way we work.”
And seeing that change in action is exactly why we do what we do.
